Terms of Service
Service & Pricing
Prices are quoted in CAD and may vary by province, urgency, and scope. Estimates are non-binding until confirmed onsite.
- Taxes: GST/HST and, where applicable, PST/QST are added to all invoices according to the service location.
- Rates: Standard hours apply Mon–Fri 8:00–17:00 local time. After-hours, weekends, and statutory holidays may incur overtime premiums.
- Travel and access: Remote or difficult-to-access sites may include travel/mobilization fees. Parking/toll charges are billable at cost.
- Materials: Parts and fixtures are billed at current market pricing; manufacturer warranties apply to parts per their terms.
- Diagnostics: A minimum service call applies for dispatch and initial diagnosis. Additional time is billed in 15-minute increments.
- Scope changes: Any customer-requested changes or hidden conditions discovered onsite will be quoted and authorized before proceeding.
- Quote validity: Written quotes are typically valid for 14 days unless otherwise specified due to supplier pricing volatility.
Cancellations
Please provide at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. Emergency bookings are subject to a call-out fee.
- Less than 24 hours notice may incur a late cancellation fee up to the minimum service call.
- No-show or site inaccessibility at the appointment time may be billed the call-out fee plus wait time.
- Deposits on custom-ordered materials are non-refundable once procurement is initiated.
- Weather or safety-related postponements may be rescheduled without penalty at our discretion.
Warranties
We provide a written workmanship warranty. Manufacturer warranties apply for parts and fixtures.
- Workmanship: Residential work carries up to a 12-month workmanship warranty; commercial warranty length may vary by scope and usage.
- Exclusions: Damage from misuse, freeze, water chemistry, pre-existing faults, or third-party alterations is not covered.
- Parts: Covered per OEM terms; labour for replacement is covered under workmanship terms only.
- Claims: Report issues within 10 days of discovery. We may request photos, videos, or an onsite inspection.
- Transfer: Warranties apply to the original service address and customer and are non-transferable unless mandated by law.
Payments & Invoicing
- Payment is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- We accept major cards and bank transfers; cheques subject to verification. NSF returns incur a $45 fee.
- Late balances may accrue 2% per month (26.82% APR) or the maximum allowed by provincial law.
- Deposits may be required for large projects, custom orders, or where permits are involved.
- Holdbacks and lien legislation will be observed as required by provincial regulations.
Liability & Limitations
- Access: Customer ensures safe, unobstructed access to work areas and shutoffs. We are not responsible for damages from concealed conditions.
- Pre-existing issues: We are not liable for failures arising from aged piping, code deficiencies, or existing system weaknesses exposed during proper work.
- Consequential damages: To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to re-performance or refund of the affected service fees.
- Code compliance: Work is performed to applicable Canadian and local codes at the time of service. Permits are obtained when required and authorized.
Privacy & Communications
- We collect only the information necessary to schedule, perform, and invoice services.
- By providing contact details, you consent to receive service-related communications by phone, SMS, or email.
- You may opt out of non-essential marketing communications at any time.
Service Area & Governing Law
- Services are provided in Canada and governed by the laws of the province or territory where the work is performed.
- In Québec, these terms are subject to the Consumer Protection Act where applicable. French version available upon request.
- Disputes: Parties agree to good-faith resolution; if unresolved, claims may proceed in the local courts of the service location.
